Event Recap: Undisciplined Conversation – “Disrupting Norms: Beyond Representation”
A thought-provoking exchange exploring how creative practices can challenge representational norms and reimagine cultural narratives.
On 5 March at 12:00 PM, we hosted a thought-provoking session in the Undisciplined Conversation series titled “Disrupting Norms: Beyond Representation.”
Dr. Samson Nashon and Quentin VerCetty shared their experiences navigating academia and the arts as BIPOC scholars. The discussion explored the power of lived experience, strategies for challenging institutional norms, and the need to move beyond performative diversity towards meaningful structural change.
The event was held in person and also offered virtually.
